Many business to business companies hire a sales person; most times not very experienced and/or trained well. And the executives expect this person or persons to go out and get business. Usually they fail.
The company doesn’t give the sales person(s) any needed marketing material; like ideal client persona, differentiation, what issues they solve, value proposition, etc.
And then these same executives can’t understand why these people can’t get business for their company. They believe all B2B sales people are useless, and all can only sell when the price is the lowest.
