10 WAYS TO MARKET INEXPENSIVELY - PART II

If you are a small to medium size company, you need to be a guerrilla marketer. As a guerrilla marketer, you will want to use various and inexpensive marketing techniques to reach your prospects and communicate with your customers.

Last time I sent you five ways for you to market inexpensively. Here are the other five ways.

1.    Public Relations
  • One page press releases
  • Coverage through PR is better than advertising – people believe editorial more than advertising
  • Positions oneself as an expert in your field
  • Knowledge and experience one portion of media would love to have
2.    Up-Selling
  • Selling something more at moment customer buys from you
  • EG: Sell them an add-on to your current product, or suggest a totally different product from a partner.

3.    Improving your own sales skills and/or the sales skills of your team
  • If you have never taken a formal sales or marketing training, I suggest you look into it today. Or better still, give me a call, and I can help you get exactly what you need.
  • All sales and marketing training should have some follow-on coaching to be effective.

4.    Emails
  • Email customers and prospects at least twice per month
  • Test different offers and articles
  • Send weekly emails if sending information

5.    Joint Ventures
  • Non-competitive businesses that would have a similar customer set to yours.
  • JV’s can be a very lucrative way of expanding your business, without a major investment.
