My name is Ian Dainty. Welcome to my site
I started my business career with IBM in the mid 70's as a
marketing
representative, selling large systems to the financial community. Since
then, I have done many things, all B2B sales and marketing related, and all
helping my customers succeed.
I have owned and operated two B2B technology related businesses.
They
were Albian Computer Systems and vectus.ca. Both of these companies
were software and B2B service related businesses, and I was able to
sell both of them successfully. Each of these businesses was very
marketing and sales oriented. After all, that is what I know best. I am
not a techie.
I do understand how to use technology, and I understand how
technology works at a conceptual level. But, my businesses were sales
and marketing driven, not technology driven.

However, regardless of whether you are in technology or not, if you sell to other businesses, IE: B2B, then I can help you become a better marketer and sales person.
Here are some of the other things I have done in my career,
working with various clients.
- Helped companies with their B2B sales/marketing
initiatives, including direct sales. Sold a web based CRM product.
- Developed, sold and delivered training to thousands of B2B sales
and
marketing people in sales strategies and tactics, including opening new
accounts, establishing executive contact, account management, and
building more business with existing customers.
- Mentored B2B executives on organizational effectiveness, strategy
direction, and sales effectiveness.
- Consulted to various size corporations on their technology
and B2B sales/marketing strategies.
- Sold three technology companies ($30M, $15M, $4M in sales).
Acted as sole agent and financial advisor.
- Worked with a B2B Technology Fund to raise $10M, and a software
company to raise $3 million.
- Performed B2B search assignments for senior management, sales and
technical people for numerous clients.
So, as you can see, I have done many things to assist my
clients.
One of the items I want to stress here is that I have worked
with
and trained thousands of sales and marketing people, with programs I
developed, sold and delivered. I have coached B2B sales and marketing
reps, as well as technology business owners on the right way to sell to
other companies in the B2B marketplace.
I have been where you are going, and done it for many years.
In fact, I am still doing it and always learning.
